Summary
teach.NSW travelled to Broken Hill to promote the benefits of teaching in rural and remote areas.

Video fades to black. The scene changes to show Brett entering a coffee shop. He pays some money to a woman behind the counter. Around the coffee shop, we see a chess board, followed by a selection of baked goods, a barista preparing a cup of coffee, and a close-up shot of a vase of flowers.

Video shows Brett smiling as he enjoys his cup of coffee.
Scene:
Video fades to black. The scene changes to show a football field, where some high school students are enjoying a game of Australian Rules football. Brett is in the foreground, watching and cheering from the sidelines.

Video fades to black. The scene changes to show the interior of the Broken Hill Regional Art Gallery. There are various close-up shots of paint bottles and brushes, as an artist prepares a palette and easel for painting.

Scene:
Video fades to black. The scene changes to show Brett and a woman walking among the Broken Hill Stone Sculptures. They are in conversation as Brett gestures to the sculptures. A close-up shot shows Brett’s hand brushing past some yellow wildflowers.

We are shown a montage of various scenes around the town of Broken Hill: The Line of Lode Miners Memorial, a view looking back across the town, the interior of an indoor swimming pool, the interior of a gymnasium, a close-up of a dirt track where someone is jogging, a school hall where some young students are raising their hands, an exterior shot of the Bruce Langford Visitors’ Centre, an interior shot of a hangar containing a plane belonging to the Royal Flying Doctor Service of Australia, a family walking their dog, the town’s main street at dusk.
Video fades to black. The scene changes to show Brett at the Broken Hill Sculpture park. As he contemplates, the camera slowly pulls back to show the vastness of the landscape around him.
