Approved teachers, apply for a Teach and Learn Scholarship and you could get paid while you study to become a teacher of a specialist teaching area.

Find out if the Teach and Learn Scholarship could support you to acquire additional competencies in one of the following specialist teaching areas:

• Teacher Librarian
• Careers Adviser
• English as an Additional Language or Dialect (EAL/D)

To apply for the Teach and Learn Scholarship, you will need to complete and submit the below documents as part of your online application.

• Principal’s Supporting Statement
• Referee’s Supporting Statement

Benefits

• Up to $20,000 per year of full-time study based on 8 subjects (paid pro-rata for part-time study).
• $500 per week (up to a maximum of $5,000) financial assistance while completing the university practicum requirement.
• Up to eight days of study leave per year (12 months) of full-time study.
• Professional development for temporary and permanent teachers already teaching in a specialist teaching area.
